To secure a nice and big position in a company, you need to submit a reference letter. A reference letter is essential because it verifies the information provided in your CV and confirms the experience mentioned in your documents or CV for that matter. It implies the fact that reference letter is the perfect way to build credibility which can really help anyone to secure a new job.

A reference letter is effective because it is written by someone who may have knowledge about the job. It means that if you apply for a new job along with submitting the reference letter written by your manager, you will surely be able to get more importance as a manager is the person who knows how different jobs are done in a company.

The reference letter provided by a manager is like a recommendation letter. It will always start by providing the information about an employee. It means that manager will tell for how long he has been in touch with an employee. The start will also include the position for which a person has been working in a company. These are the basic types of information that will always be there in reference letter provide by the managers.

The next part will always inform about the performance of that specific employee. In most cases, the manager will talk about the positive aspects of a person. Here, all those skills will be evaluated which have helped a person to perform well in a company. It is noteworthy that these qualities will be those which are important according to a manger’s point of view. A person may find him more capable but only those qualities will be mentioned by a manager that he has witnessed in all past years.

The final part of the reference letter will always be the same. Here, manager will mention if he recommends a person with or without reservation. Lastly, the manager will allow the new employer to get in touch with him to know more about an employee. So, you can see that the basic format of reference letter will always be same, but, content will be different because of different experience of a writer.
